HOW TO PRESET YOUR SNOWSHOES & WHY ?
When it comes to snowshoeing, comfort and performance are key. TSL Outdoor’s binding systems are designed to ensure a secure, comfortable fit with a focus on convenience and precision. In this blog post, we’ll explore the different binding presets that make adjusting your snowshoes quick and easy, allowing you to focus more on the adventure and less on the gear.
What are Binding Presets?
Binding presets allow users to quickly adjust their snowshoe bindings to their preferred fit without needing to start from scratch each time. This feature is especially useful for hikers looking to save time, as well as those new to snowshoeing who want a hassle-free experience.
Below we will break down the different types and areas of the bindings you will find on our snowshoes depending on the model:
The Front Adjustment Systems
TSL snowshoes come with three innovative front adjustment systems, each designed to suit different needs:
BOA® Adjustment
Available on models like INSTINCT, ADJUST, ORIGINAL 2, UP & DOWN FIT GRIP, and INITIAL bindings, the BOA® Fit System offers a quick, easy, and precise fit. This system is perfect for technical hikers seeking a secure connection between their foot and the binding, enhancing control and comfort during the hike.Memory Lock System
For a more traditional approach, the Memory Lock System found in ELITE and UP & DOWN GRIP bindings ensures efficient tightening via a buckle. It’s practical for those who want quick adjustments while still maintaining a snug, secure fit.Strap Tightening
The ACCESS, ELEVATION, and CAMO bindings utilize a classic strap system. Simply pull the strap to tighten, making it a straightforward and reliable choice for snowshoers who value simplicity.
Ankle Adjustment: Stability and Comfort
A solid ankle adjustment system is crucial for providing stability, comfort, and safety. TSL offers three ankle tightening systems:
Perimetric Tightening
Exclusive to the INSTINCT bindings, this new patented system ensures tight, secure foot placement while offering a lightweight and comfortable fit. Best for expert hikers, it offers an advanced level of foot support and precision.Textile Strap
Featured in ADJUST and ELITE bindings, this option provides comfort and flexibility when adjusting the ankle strap. Ideal for those who prioritize comfort over rigidity.Bi-Material Strap
For added durability, ACCESS, PHOENIX, ORIGINAL 2, INITIAL, ELEVATION, UP & DOWN GRIP, and UP & DOWN FIT GRIP bindings come with a bi-material strap. It’s a sturdy solution for those who need long-lasting support on rugged terrain.
